Mythicon 2026

Welcome to attendees of Mythicon 2026! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a storyteller, educator, and game master. I help people discover the magic in their own stories, whether they're rolling dice, moving chess pieces, exploring narrative-driven games, or beginning the hard work of turning ideas into art.

What I Do

I run D&D campaigns, chess clubs, and photography workshops on Outschool teaching about 20 classes a week with learners around the world. My students don't just learn rules. They learn to see patterns, make choices that matter, and work together to create a more dynamic world.

In my Legends of Myria campaign, students shape an entire fantasy realm through their decisions. One player's backstory about being driven to save refugees or another player's decision to push a little further than is wise when dismantling a magical device can changed the direction of our entire story across multiple groups. That's the magic of collaborative storytelling: when everyone at the table has the power to bend the narrative, with the knowledge that the impact of their actions extends beyond the moment.

I also create video essays analyzing games like Alan WakeControl, and Journey as literature. Because they are. These interactive stories do things with narrative structure that books and movies simply can't.

For Your Kids (Ages 10-18)

My Outschool classes are ongoing and students can or leave join anytime. We run collaborative campaigns where they shape the world, not just follow a script.

For Fellow Story-Lovers

Narrative Eversion launches in April 2026 with weekly episodes. This is a podcast and YouTube series for understanding interactive narratives. A digital coffee house for in depth conversations of games, written for people who think about stories long after they're over.

Each week, I play through narrative-driven games such as Alan Wake, Control, Journey, or Uncharted, analyzing them the way a literature class examines novels. How do these stories use player agency, environmental storytelling, and mechanical systems to create meaning that books and films simply can't?

Think recorded lectures over gameplay footage. No spoiler-free reviews. No tips and tricks. Just deep analysis of games as texts.

For Creators

Seven Sessions on Creative Writing is a contemplative video series about the psychic necessity of creative work. Not tips and tricks. Not "how to get published." Seven weeks focused on exploring what blocks you from marring the blank page and what happens when you sit still long enough to open your heart.

Each session guides you through one stage on path from finding the psychological safety to write, through recognizing your influences, and on to breaking past the loops which keep us stuck as artists.

This is about honest reflection and permission to create, even if it's just creating the space to create.
