We'll Be Pruning Soon

Pruning can be as simple as finding the best moment out of a series...

It's been a busy winter here at the farm as we settle in to the familiar routines of the cold weather: Room re-arrangement and oh, so much cooking. With all of the holiday family photos flooding my phone, I've been struggling to keep all my pictures organized. Which of the seventeen pictures of my cat standing on my shoulder is actually worth keeping? How many times do we need a video of one of the kids playing with the Christmas train set?

Pruning is both the art of shaping an otherwise mighty tree into bonsai by carefully limiting its growth over decades and the science of choosing only the most healthy, productive, and wind-tolerant branches to keep on an ancient apple tree which towers over the front lawn of a historic mansion. In our Prune Your Photos workshop, I'll walk you through my process of selecting between similar photos to choose the best, making simple edits to improve a good picture, and adjusting the focus point and depth of field in advanced iPhone photos.
