Linke’s Links 21-4-7

The last two days have been super busy. I’m sitting here eating a cup of lime yogurt and running through my list of things to get done today before I start work, which will cary me through until nine pm.

Jordan Peterson is a fascinating and frustrating individual. His core ideas of work hard, do your best, take care of your family, and don’t bother people who aren’t bothering you make a lot of sense. Unfortunately, he’s also a bit of a jerk and extends those ideas into attacking people online. And now it looks like he’s a bit upset that a couple years ago the author of the Captain America comics satired him as a villain.

Some lovely work restoring an old wrench. Check out Kilo Restoration on YouTube.

Ford posts all of their user manuals online. That’s great and very useful. Honda does the same, but I don’t have that link handy today.

I need to find a way to get reliable, unlimited internet while traveling in The Mothership. So far Unlimitedville looks like a possibility, but I’m not thrilled at the idea of paying almost $200 a month when I won’t be traveling every month.

Simone is great. She builds weird things and is so enthusiastic about making them. I want to be friends with her and build weird stuff together. Here’s the chair that she built for her three-legged dog.

I haven’t had time to watch it yet, but on a quick skim this Soviet adaptation of The Lord of the Rings is terrible and surreal… but seeing how they tried to translate each of the characters is fascinating.
